Help with JVC Everio on a MAC?

Everio JVC camcorder - PLEASE help! trying to upload to youtube and it keeps failing!?

• So I just got an Everio JVC Memory Camcorder GZ-MS100 for Christmas. i love it! Here's the problem: I'm using the software that it came with and i keep trying to do the "one-touch upload to youtube". Every time i try though, it goes through the whole uploading process and then says "some files failed to upload". what do i DO? i tried just logging into the actual youtube website to upload it and after over an hour i stopped because it just wasn't working!! i think it's because everio uploads files as .MOD and this is not compatible with many programs. is there a way to change this? AHH so frustrating! PLEASE HELP!

  The MOD files created by JVC Everio standard definition camcorders are simply MPEG-2 files, which are compatible with nearly everything (provided your PC has the correct MPEG-2 codec). I use a standard definition Everio which records MOD files and rarely have problems uploading to YouTube. Verify your video file doesn't exceed YouTube's size limit (in megabytes) and the video doesn't surpass the maximum play length assigned to your account (most accounts are limited to 10 minutes per video, but this depends on the date you signed up). When I've used the YouTube uploader in the past, I did not receive a descriptive message when my file was too big or my video too long, I simply got the "some files failed to upload" message you are seeing. If you check the above and still think the problem is due to your files, try opening them in Windows Movie Maker and creating WMV renders. Upload the WMV file to YouTube as a test. If you still can't get it working, I would be willing to take a look at one of the files for you. I'm sure we can find a solution together.
