How can I save a video?

How can I save a video from my video camera onto my computer?

• I am going to upload a video on youtube, but first I need to save the video to my computer, how do i do that? Thank you! My camera is a Sony Wide LCD thank you:)

  do you have a memory card like a SanDisk SD or SDHC Card with a SD or SDHC Card Reader... If you have a SD or SDHC Card then you should have gotten one with the purchase of the memory card... if this is the case then all you need to do is hook it up to the computer go to my computer and look for the device in the my computer double click it open it up and find the video file... most cameras that I know of so far save there files as an AVI file... and once you have gotten that far all you need to do is upload it to youtube... thats about as far as I can go without giving you software and the serial number for a program so that you can convert that file to a MP4 file this is very good because if you convert it to MP4 you can srink the size by alot... I use for my camera files I use APlus Video to Ipod converter...
