MP4 or AVI to DVD question?

  • Hi I recently just got a new video camera and it can record in either mp4 or avi since it writes to the internal HDD I have to use a video converter on my computer to convert my movies to dvd which file format coverts and burns to DVD more quickly AVI or MP4

One question... are u writing to a DVD as DATA or as a VIDEO? If as Data: mp4 wud be faster as the file is highly compressed such that it is a smaller file vs. avi If as Video: a DVD authoring application wud necessarily convert/ render the video file to .vob (mpeg2) together the .bup and .ifo. For this process, .avi may possibly be best as raw/source video
