I need cord for my flip video camera.

I need to transfer a VCR video (analog) to my camcorder...any suggestions?

  • I was going to play the video on our VCR player, then transfer it to my Sony DCR TRV33 camcorder, then put it on the computer. How do I transfer it from the VCR to the camcorder? I have read about a Firewire cord, or something like that, but I don't have time to go out and buy anything. (This is supposed to be done by tomorrow morning) I have an S-video cord and the thing that has the red, yellow, and white cable-thingy. I know how to connect them to the VCR player and to the camera, but how do I transfer the video? Is there a certain setting on the camera/VCR? I need help! Thanks!

  • Answer:

I'm doing some research for you. There is a feature called analog-to-digital conversion. You would have to go to this mode. I'm not sure how. Connect your vcr using s-video or composite (yellow cable) to your camcorder video inputs. You have to connect audio too from vcr to camcorder audio inputs. Then you have to connect your iLink cable, or Firewire (same thing) to your computer. Hopefully you have this connection. I'm assuming this feature requires some software installed on your pc to capture the video, so run it. If I had this camcorder, I could tell you how to do it exactly, but I don't. Sorry. Check the manual and Good luck!
