Does a Flip Ultra Camcorder have good recording quality?

Which is the best high quality pocket camcorder for recording Heavy Metal concerts and Sports?

• I'm a Newcastle United fan and also a big Heavy metal fan. I will be going to see Iron Maiden in July next year and i've always wanted to record a concert with a camcorder, but they don't let you take the big ones in with you, only pocket sized/mobile phone like ones. I've got a mobile phone with a camera but the quality isn't too good. As i've already stated, i'm a big Newcastle United fan, and i would like to record vital moments of the match in high quality so i can put them on DVD or on youtube. I've heard of the Kodak Zi8, most reviews are great, but some say that it doesn't record well unless the you have alot of light in the background? I've seen videos of it on youtube, and most of the videos i see are excellent quality, but some of them look very mediocre quality. I'd like HD quality, but i'm not really specific on that. It's not necessarily HD that i care about, just a high quality picture. The kodak Zi8 is high on a list of possible picks for me, and it's half price on amazon. I'm thinking of getting it. Any suggestions? Does anyone on here got to metal/rock gigs and get a decent picture out of a cam?

  No pocket-sized camcorder does well in low light, will lack lens zoom, and record audio poorly (like a super-loud concert) for an appeasing video. Using a decent microphone with the Kodak Zi8 will help for the audio (still not ideal) but it's better than the on-board mic. Regardless of what you would like your project to be, you are restricted to only being able to bring in what is allowed, like a pocket cam. Besides that, concert halls are very dark and/or have mixed lighting in all sorts of brightnesses so the cam will have trouble with proper exposure. And you'll have ever-so loud metal music which the on-board omni-directional mic will over modulate anyway. And, unless you are sitting/standing in the first few rows, you won't be able to frame in on the band because of the lack of zoom (and lack of a tripod or other static support to steady your shots).
