Flip camcorders: A relative recorded a wedding and ...?

  • we watched it on the television and a laptop after the event. He made a copy onto a DVD and it won't play on our dvd player or our computer. I'm wondering why would this be so? Is it the wrong format, do you think? P.S. No nothing about 'flip camcorders'

  • Answer:

hello there try if you have not got it on PC http://k-litecodecpack.com install~it then looks after it's self this will give you the right format to play on PC copy film to hard drive then from hard drive~ put in a file drag and drop file onto burning program put the menu on burn a data disc this should now play on your PC(not on tv) to play on tv using a conversion program convert it (k-lite will put it in correct format) i use convertxtodvd (about £25 ) from http://vsosoftware.com or you could look for a free conversion program you may like to try http://sothink-dvd-movie-maker.ensoftonic.com (free) or look on http://cnet.com http://filehippo.com for others do hope this helps enjoy the day

To make the DVD playable on a TV, it has to be created in a DVD authoring application such as iDVD on macs. If you create it like a normal file disk it won't play on TVs.
