Transfer VHS tapes video to dvd, I think you should transfer the videos from your VHS tapes to computer hard drive at first, transfer videos from vhs tapes to computer, need some special device, you can go to local VHS tapes store for help, after transfer the vhs tape videos to your computer harddrive, then you can burn the videos to DVD from computer with the right software, I am using RZ DVD Creator to burn video DVD from computer, it can directly convert any videos to standard video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and the burned video DVD can be played well on DVD player. The best way to convert depends on the number of tapes you have and whether they're commercial (copyright protected) tapes or not. If you only have a few, find a local service to make the transfer for you. If you have a lot of tapes, I just started putting a bit of information about transferring VHS tapes to DVD on a web page (below), but I have a lot more information to add to the page. Commercial VHS tapes cannot be copied to a DVD on a VHS / DVD combo unit due to copyright protection built into the tape and combo unit. If you own the commercial VHS tapes you can legally transfer the movies to DVD - but I haven't gotten that far yet with the web page. The next bit of information to go up will be how to deep clean the tape deck so no 'snow' is picked up and sent to the DVD. You can buy a twin VCR / DVD recorder from places like Walmart / Best Buy. But if the tapes are copy guarded, it may not work.
