How to mute videos in Windows Movie Maker?

How do i mute the volume of videos on windows movie maker?

  • Answer:

It's a real pain if there's just a small part of the video that you want to mute. you first need to isolate the particular clip by using the split button, while making note of the times, then place the clip you want silenced onto the storyboard. Then, there's a button just above the storyboard, all the way to the left that lets you tinker with audio levels. Use it to mute the clip, then save the movie file. Open up the program again, and import the clip back in, and insert it into the section that you cut out.

In the time line view click the small box to the right of the word VIDEO this will show the audio track. Right click on the audio track and in the pop up box click MUTE. To turn the sound back on repeat the same procedure.

try , tools - audio levels . if you a third part software you can tinker with the sound better i think . and above the storyboard is a sliding control and a microphone control ) with movie maker you can edit the sound do your test vid then tinker with the controls , i think you can remove audio completely . sorry let me put it like this , put your clip in movie maker see if sound goes in seperately and then audio can be just deleted if not mute the volume IN movie maker and save the new file with volume muted thenyou have a file without audio .
