Which GoPro HD Hero cam should I get?

• I've been looking at the Hero cam for a few days now and a lot of them such as the motor sports and the helmet cam seem to be almost identical but the price varies quite a bit especially on amazon. So i'm wondering which one is better or if the are the same just meant for different activities or if they can both do the same things.

And if you examine what your video shooting style or activities will tell you, you can see that the most-expensive camera might not necessarily be the BEST camera for you. And, as you have noted, some of the "differences" in GoPro camera packages are in the mounting accessories and not the camera itself. The newer Hero 2 models reflect some of the feature feedback from professional users.
