Is there a super 8 camera that you can wind manually?
-
I've noticed that a lot of super 8 cameras are battery operated, and although some standard 8mm cameras are winded manually, the supply for standard 8mm film has been discontinued. I'm planning to buy a super 8 camera but I'm really into those manually winded cameras (nonbattery operated things fascinate me). So the question is, IS THERE a super 8 camera that can be manually winded? If so what's it called? I would like to know if such a product exist. Thanks in advance :D

Answer:
if by manual wind you mean hand crank, that went out in the 30s. all 8mm home cameras used a spring motor. while not electric, it was not hand crank either. i don't recall seeing any super8 cameras that were non-electric. One internet site claims Bell & Howell made the only Super8 spring motor cameras outside of Russian products.
