How do you get a video file to edit in Adobe Premiere Pro?
-
I have a camcorder and Adobe Premiere Pro. I know the basics of editing etc... When I am in the Adobe Premiere Pro do I just click "Open" then choose the video file? Is there a better way to do it? My degree is actually in video production, but I forgot how they told me to save it/import it.

Answer:
No, you don't use Open from the file menu--that's for Premiere project files. You go to File>Import. That way you get the video files in the open dialogue instead of just Premiere files.
