How do I get my video to play on Quicktime?

Hw do i get quicktime 7.6 on my mac to play my .avi video?

  • The video is .avi from an sd card. I can hear audio but see no video. I tried adding their suggested quicktime plugins to able to convert it but none work. Will upgrading to quicktime pro help? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
