How do I use Sony Handycam camcorder as a webcam?

    If USB streaming instructions are in the camcorder manual, yes. If not, no. If you don't have the manual, go to sony.com - the Support area - seach for your camcorder's model number... Since you did not tell us the model, we have no way to know for sure if your camcorder can - or cannot - do USB streaming.

My old Sony Handycam work as a webcam, (is for the only thing I use it now) the detail is on using the Firewire cable (not the USB, sorry Little Dog) USB is used only to transfer pic's and don't have the required bandwidth to transfer raw video. It took me some time to figure that one out. In MS Vista, turn on the camcorder, connect the Firewire to camcorder and then to you computer, a menu pop's up and give you some choices.
