What is the best kind of camcorder?

I love my mini DV, but if you want to edit on you PC I would suggest a DVD. These two formats are the only true digital cameras.

It depends on your priorities. I wanted a camcorder that could see infrared and Sony is the only company that still makes those so I got a Sony. The one I got records to miniDV, which works reasonably well. If you want to be able to record for hours nonstop, I think hard disk is the best.

mini DV are the best to buy. I think the brand that is better is the SOny
