How do i get my vhs camcorder tape on to a cd?

There are two options, each with it's own advantage... 1. Take the VHS camera to your local video production facility. Chances are that they can transfer the analog tape to a digital file and possibly even put it on DVD for you. 2. Buy a VHS digital tape deck (NOT A VHS PLAYER) that will hook up to your computer. These can be fairly expensive, but it may save you the cost of sending multiple VHS tapes to a video facility. As far as burning the newly digitized file to DVD, there are many inexpensive DVD software products out like Sony DVD Architect, Roxio DVD, Nero DVD, and Adobe Encore DVD. Hope this helps!

I myself bought the ATI TV Wonder pro capture card and put it in my PC. It allows me to hookup an analog device such as a camcorder,vhs player, and even cable television for that matter. It has different options that you can use which you can record any of the devices. I LOVE IT!! It was fairly cheap at Best Buy. Then once you capture the footage its just a matter of using your burning software such as nero or whatever you prefer to put it on CD as a VCD . Or you can burn it onto a DVD.
