the best way is with a program called "blaze media" you can do it through windows, but the audio will come out very horrible, and you can only record up to a minute. with blaze media, you can play a video, and hit the record button in the background and it will record the audio only. this is also a good program because it allows you to adjust the input/output levels to your liking...hope this helps

u can use either vcdcutter or premiere.

Use software that can Demux the file. TMPGEnc can do this. I think the demo version will let you do this without a problem.
