Is zero-based indexing impossible?

How do I delete Indexing, my computer is running so slow?

  • Microsoft recently updated and Indexing was added; since then, my computer is creeping along because it is indexing everything, I guess. How do I stop that, I have tried to follow instructions I found on 2 sites and those haven't helped. And can I delete the MS Compression Client? Is it necessary? Thanks

  • Answer:

It may be something else, not the indexing that slowed down your computer. It could be a virus or a number of other issues. Scan your computer with Malwarebytes plus a good antivirus program to rule out this problem (I use Auslogics Antivirus and like it). Then look for other ways/software to improve your computer's performance. Here is a good article about speeding up your computer - http://www.auslogics.com/en/articles/speed-up-computer/ Hope this helps. Good luck!

Need not delete indexing, it is just running in system idle. To determine if your system is in fact running slow because of problems in your registry, you will need to run a self diagnostic program such as regcure go http://tpdownload.net/WhyIsMyComputerSlow.htm This easy to use program will perform a deep scan on your computer and will report back on any issues or problems it finds for you at no charge - which means you can figure out what is wrong without having to buy anything in advance or pay a technician to essentially perform the same function.
