How could I use my PC as an audio-video recorder?

I have cables to connect video recorder to pc.TO convert videos to DVD. I do not know which hole on pc to use.

It all depends on what you are trying to connect. Is it a video recorder like a VCR or DVD recorder? If your cables are red, white, and yellow, then you need a video capture card or USB device (see link). If you have Firewire out from the recorder (also called iLink, DV, or IEE 1394) then match the calbe to the open hole on the back of your computer. If you do not have a matching spot, you can get a Firewire card for about US $15 at most computer stores.
