How can I get a job in computer animation at Pixar?

How do you get into computer animation?

• I love Computer Animated movies, and It has always been a dream of mines to get into making movies like with Pixar or Dreamworks. How do I, a high schooler, get into a path that will lead me work as a computer animator, and not for video games!

  I faced the same dilemma for a while... for starters, major in either Art or Computer Science, whichever one feels more like your style! The field is so specialized that you probably won't be able to break into it later if you major in anything else. You might want to check out the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design, which is in Columbus Ohio at The Ohio State University... they do some excellent work, and they're tied with the Ohio Supercomputing Center, so they've got plenty of resources... [Edit: ACCAD is purely a grad school, so that doesn't help you immediately, but hopefully that's a good example of a target to aim for.] Best of luck!
