Video won't import on Windows Movie Maker?

Windows movie maker wont let me import a video I dowloaded from You Tube, Why?

  • I downloaded a Video from You Tube that you can add your own subtitles to, But windows movie maker will not allow me to import it for some reason, The video is not copyrighted, Does anyone know why ? It's one of those comedy videos you can add your own subtitles to. Thanks for your answers.

  • Answer:

You probably downloaded the video in FLV which is a flash file and not supported by WMM.

it depends what kind of file it is. If it is a .flv file then windows movie maker won't import it. right click the file and click on properties to check the file type. download a free flv converter http://www.any-video-converter.com/download-avc-free.php make sure you convert the file to .avi
