if your friend sent you an invite to one of your other email addresses, and you've signed up, and you've recieved a confirmation email... ... try going to www.gmail.com. if you're not signed in, it should ask you to sign in. if you are, it should bring you to your mailbox. if you've not gone through the very top steps, you might not have a gmail account.

When you get into your G-mail, click on chat that is on your side menu.
