What is the difference between a cloud and server?

What is the difference between cloud computing,dedicated server,web hosting and domain name customer base ?

  I assume you mean cloud hosting... cloud hosting is basically a large group of computers all connecting and sharing your data and instantaneously scaling up or down depending o the demand from the user. So in hosting, the computers hosting your website would combine their resources to handle higher than normal needs during certain times. dedicated server is when you basically lease a computer that is somewhere else, to host your website on. That "somewhere else" has computer admins, backup systems in place and security protocols to protect your data. not sure what domain name customer base is, but a domain name is the actual name of your website in .com .net .org etc.. format. yahoo.com is a domain name. google.com is a domain name. When you type in google.com into your address bar, your computer interacts with a NameServer (godaddy for instance) and this Name Server gives your computer the IP address associated with that domain name that you typed into the address bar. This makes it easier to get around the web, otherwise you would have to remember the IP address of every website you ever go to.
