8 is too old... I use 9 to do all converting. media player cant do that...go to www.xilisoft.com and download the converter there...it'll convert about anything..hope that helps

you can't convert wma to .mp3 that I know of. I'll watch this question and maybe learn something!!! Yes, Media Player should be upgraded to at least ver. 9

You can`t convert wma to mp3 on Windows Media Player 8. Even on Windows Media Player 11 you can`t. Windows Media Player haven`t conversion funcion.
