DVD+R won't play on my computer?

My computer wont recognize CD-R/W, but can play DVDs and audio and I need to burn the CD-R/W HELP!!!!!!!?

  • My computer wont recognize CD-R/W, but can play DVDs and audio and I need to burn the CD-R/W for an assignment. It worked a year ago and now it wont burn. I use Nero but it still wont work. I tried going to My Computer right clicked D Drive, Properties, Recording and enabling the record in cd thing and it still wont work help me before tommorrow when i really need the assignment or i will fail!!!! PS the assignment is to make burn a cd and tell the steps that I did it in, i did all of that except for the burning of the CD! pleasee HELP ME!

    I'd say you need to update the firmware for your DVD player.Use nero info tool to find out make and model, go to their website and look for firmware updates.

It's impossible to help you with just the information you've given. Your problem descriptions consist of things like "it wont burn" and "it still wont work". Do you get an error message? If so, what message? If not, what happens when you try? What does "won't recognize CD-R/W" mean? Does it mean that when you put a blank in, you get an error? Does it mean it can't read already-burned CD-R/Ws? Or what? If you are in serious trouble and need help, you can spend a few minutes explaining the problem.

Looks like you shouldnt have waited til the last min to do your homework... Beyond that, if it has already been used, if it is finalized, you cant edit it. Are you using a new empty disc
