How do I install REALTEK HD Audio Manager?

Whats with the Realtek HD Audio Manager?

  • So, after a while I started looking into my front audio jack, as I need it for a timer. I realised they don't work and I prolly won't get them to work easily. I googled for some time and came to a reason, that I have lost my realtek driver (prolly after installing win 7) so I got that back but where Can I get that Realtek HD audio manager? There is no download link anywhere do it O.o, only for the driver. They say that realtek has front jacks disabled on default, so I wanna turn them back on. Not sure if thats the case.

  • Answer:

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false Go ahead and download the one for Windows 7. This is a generic driver that should work not matter which integrated audio chipset you have. Once you install it, you should be all set.

The website for your brand computer (or motherboard, if a home built computer), go there, find the support or downloads page, use the selection tools to find your precise model and operating system. The Realtek HD Audio Manager will be part of the sound/audio driver package there in the list. Download and install it then restart your computer. Audio manager will show up by the clock or in the control panel, or both.
