is there away to change the background image of individual workspaces on Gnome Desktop?

How can I save my computer desktop's background as an image/pic?

  • I found a wallpaper on the internet and set it as my computer background, but I didn't save the image as a backup file onto my computer. So even if I decide to change my computer background to another wallpaper, there is no way I can go back to the previous one I had. So is there a way I can save the background/wallpaper I set onto my computer as a file (image)?

    its already an image... just right click on your desktop and select properties, select the Desktop tab at the top, in the background window is a highlighted word. thats the name of your desktop. to find it do a search which you can access in your start menu. click the pictures music video option, type the name of the file then wait. it will come up. you can even drag and drop it to your desktop for easy finding.

Hello , Save the pic to My Pictures -or- My Documents anyplace you like .... From there ..right click on the pic [to highlight it] . Look to the left coloumn > notice in "Pictures Tasks" click the double arrows to open and lenghthen the task .. may be already opened .. you will see choices "Get pictures from camera or scanner" View as a slide show" "Order prints online" "Set as desktop background" " Copy to CD" . click >>>>>"Set as Desktop Background" .
