Can I do a system Recovery?

How can I do system recovery for my Acer Netbook?

  • I have a Acer Aspire One AOD-255E netbook, it did not come with a recovery disc nor does it have a recovery partition, if I wanted to do recovery or restore my system to factory setup, how do I do that? -It does not have a CD/DVD drive / I do not have a CD-DVD drive -It does not have a recovery disc -It does not have software to create one

  • Answer:

Buy a cd recovery disc from Acer or from a 3rd party online company. Put the cd into another computer and burn the disc image to an empty flash drive. Go into the bios of the netbook and change the boot priority to usb. Insert the flash drive in a usb port on the netbook. reboot the computer, it will boot from the flash drive and from there you will be able to restore to factory settings. Keep cd and flash drive in a safe place. What operating system are you using? I know that you said it doesn't have a recovery partition, but how do you know it doesn't? Did you erase it? It should come with it from the factory. try pressing ALT + F10 in startup Id check in the startup to be sure. sometimes they are hidden.
