What is some surf technology?

What is technology and some examples of it? Is internet technology?

  Hi sarfc, I think you are right - the term 'technology' is so broad and is used in relation to so many different things these days that it can pretty much relate to anything! Yes, the internet is a form of technology. But at the same time the laptop was also a new piece of technology when it was released as it featured many things than users had not experienced before. A mobile phone is a piece of technology, yet people also create apps to be used on the phone, which can also be classed as technology. With regards to your example, an advantage of using technology with children, is that they are able to experience many platforms of learning these days, for example there are even apps out there which teach children the alphabet and colours etc. However it could be argued that a disadvantage is that children are not learning the way they used to - when I was younger there were no computer games to teach me things, we learnt in the classroom by reading books.
