My computer won't turn on?

My computer tower wont turn on??

  • I was playing games until late last night, turn the computer off and now this morning the darn thing wont turn on. Yes, i checked the outlet and the power strip. I know that its receiving power because when i took the side of my tower off the green circuit board has a little green light. So how come my computer wont turn on? And if it matters i unplug my computer from the wall every night. Anybody have any ideas??

i think your processor is broken, it would explain that it even can't start up. You say it is receiving electricity, so i'm almost sure that it is your processor. And that you unplug it doesn't really matter.

does it boot at all? Or when you press power button it does NOTHING.?

Unplug the unit from the mains again, and try grounding the chassis to something with strip of wire or metal, then remove the ground, wait 30 minutes and try booting up again - could be a static lockout. Failing that, could be one of the rails in the power supply - try swapping out the PSU in the machine. They're pretty cheap to replace.

Try unplugging everything from your computer apart from you video cable, power, mice and keyboard and see if that works. The internal battery may be flat which is reducing it from booting. Is their any beeping noises coming out of the computer? Or you might have a hardware problem

well this prob cause of only 2 things 1: prob with ur SMPS 2: prob with ur motherboard !! all the best !!!!! & one more !! if it is running & there is no display then ur RAM's fault
