How do I get my iTunes music from my old computer?

My computer crashed and I lost all my iTunes music, how can I get it back?

  • I had tons of music downloaded from iTunes, then my computer crashed. I have a new computer now and I was wondering if and how I could get all that music back?

  • Answer:

Do you still have the hard disk? If so, you may be able to salvage some data from your old hard drive. This solution is not for beginners, so you may want some help. Here is what I can suggest you do: Unplug both computers for your safety. For the computer that crashed, remove the hard drive that has all your music in it, and place it into your new computer. If you have a new laptop computer and your old computer was a desktop, this will not work. Once you have installed the new hard drive into your computer, make sure all power and data cables are correctly plugged in and turn on your new computer. Navigate to your new hard drive, and try to find your music there. Unfortunately I do not know if you can simply copy it over, or if there is DRM protection your old music from being copied. Best of luck.

yes you can. if you bought them off itunes then what you can do is under options click authorize computer and input your account user name and password and it will put your music all back on there The only problem is, you can only authorize your account like max 5 separate times so hopefully you have some authorize times left

Every file present in your registry contains a command or direction for every program and application on your computer. Registry files are the files that give your computer the instructions for what to do next. If these registry files get corrupt or misplaced, your computer fails to understand what to do. In these instances, your computer loses control, eventually leading to a crash. At this stage the priority is to fix these registry files. In such situations it is suggested that you do not try to fix the registry yourself. Immediately find registry cleaner software and scan your computer to locate any errors. This software will identify all the missing entries or errors, restoring them right away. In many cases, your computer will be back to normal. It is recommended that you run this software once a month for best results. I should like to commend Registry Easy http://cleanup-comuter-run-perfectly.com to you !
