What happens when your computer crashes?

• my computer crashes anywhere from 2-3 times a weeks. i get blue screens and have to format my drive and re-install windows completely. i don't understand why this happens so much. its even crashed on me 2 hours after installing windows and didn't i didn't even connect it to the internet that time. ive had this problem for about 6 months now, and its annoying because i constantly loose my data because of the fresh installs i have to do. ive tried changing bios settings,(back to default, and other things) heres an example of a bsod that makes me re install, i install my windows and don't do any downloads, i use for 20 min. wake up next day, go to school,l come back, turn my pc on and yyaaaayyy, bsod. try changing bios settings, same result. try running recover options, same result, safe mode? blue screen there too. solution? re install my os. my specs intel celeron 900(yes i know very garbage) 2gb ram 250gb hdd windows 7 32 bit if you guys know what it could be i would appreciate the help, is it hardware? if so what could it be? thanks

  Well, from the looks of it, it seems like your computer can barely handle Windows 7. But, from the looks of it, you could have a problem with either one of these things... Your hard drive isn't working well, your ram is becoming corrupt, or it could even be your motherboard. My guess would have to be the hard drive. My laptop once had it's hard drive damaged and next thing I knew... I couldn't even reach the log in screen without getting a blue screen of death. Same goes with safe mode or anything else. I ended up having to get another hard drive. So, that's my guess.
