Help! My PSP hangs up when a game loads save data file screen or the save data at the start of a game!?

  • Hi people! I would like to ask what happened to my PSP. I really don't know what happened or what caused the problem, all I did was try to make my PSP have a PS3 theme (my CFW is 5.00 M33-6) and I actually found one for my CFW. Now, when I tried to connect my PSP through recovery menu then 'Toggle flash0', it connects but then my computer says that it has a virus called autorun, MS-COM (I really don't know if this is right), and hgjvk.prx (sometin' like this), as I know these are viruses caused by the virus 'This computer is being attacked', but then I deleted it, except for autorun, it was undeletable, then I saw the files turned .exe (the vsh and others, but inside it didn't), and thinking this was nothing, I left it as it is. I thought I might make a screw on the copy and pasting the files the theme instruction's said I should do, so then I didn't continue this, then I just put my GTA: VCS, but whenever I save it won't go, it'll just go black then hang up, I tried this twice but it really won't save, now I thought the game itself might be ripped, but when I tried Tekken 6, it hanged up, now as I remember it loads save data before starting, now I tried another game, I tried Naruto Shippuden: Akatsuki Rising, this game loads itself before it loads the save data, now I was right, it did load now when I try to load my save data, the BG turned dim and hanged, I actually thought it would show the gray screen but no. I thought my PSP was Semi-Bricked or somethin' like that, I tried to search the net for solution for semi-bricked psp, a lot of answers came up and I had 3 options, it said to up/down grade my PSP. Considering I can't afford a Pandora, the second is I found hellcats, but this is a D.I.Y.thing, now I really don't wanna screw up because their instructions are a bit difficult for me to to do (I'm a noob at fixing PSP), so I just left it in one of my options. The third option is I need to press the 'Format flash1 and settings' which is in the recovery menu, under advance options. I actually tried this becuase its already in the program and I really felt confident, after doing that, I saw these words at the bottom 'Formatting flash1',my PSP rebooted then I saw the Adjust settings (this is where you adjust the date, name, timezone, and time) and did as what I should, now, it has shown the XMB completely but resets to the Original Theme, I thought this was fix but no, I tried to start Tekken 6 but does the problem again, I even tried to format my MS stick and just pasted Tekken 6 and Naruto but still no luck. So now, I was thinking of downgrading my psp back to 3.71 M33 or just 4.01 M33 then upgrade again to 5.00 M33-6 in an ubuntu OS because it has no virus at all (I really don't want to upgrade to Gen cause it still has some bugs and M33 is much more stable as I used it for a long time) with the Pandora of my sister's friend because I think he has one, or just hellcats. or may I should just do the same thing with ubuntu OS and delete the .exe files and viruses because that's what I do with my USB when it has has viruses and .exe files. What do you think of the PROBLEM here? And what should I do? I need answers ASAP because I'm gonna tell my sister to call her friend if he has one, and I really want to play with my girlfriend Tekken 6 today. Thanks in advance!

  • Answer:

make sure you copied the tekken 6 in the comp. if you CAN open your psp, you go 2 USB mode and right click the file (G: REMOVABLE DISC) then format the psp... try fully format first before quick format.. If you can't... just upgrade your psp to whatever you want the it will fix it.. HOPED IT HELPED!!! :) pogs
