Which version of Linux would take full advantage of brand new hardware?

I just purchased a Dell Studio 15 Laptop. It should arrive at my house on Tuesday, and I plan to immediately put Linux on the machine, but was wondering if there was a linux that would be able to truly utilize the power of brand new, as I have been running it on old slow machines. Take a look at Linux Mint 6 (Main Edition) its easy to install easy to use and has much of the software you are likely to need preinstalled. Install it or RUN IT LIVE !
