Can't find font book on mac!! please help!?

i wanted to download new fonts and i can't find font book anywhere on my mac. when i type it in on the search bar on the mac hd it shows a list a fonts and a folder called font book but not the application? i try to open a font to see if that opens font book, but it just says choose application to open with.. same with when i open anything in the font book folder.. where is font book!? thanks so much
