if its a lap top look for the serial ports on the back or some laptops have an s-video output. you can hook up an external moniter then adjust your vid settings in the laptop.

Yes. Usually you have to hold down a function key while pressing F5 or F7. This will vary from manufacturer. By pressing this you will be able to toggle between the laptop, the big screen, or both.

Yes it is possible to use both at the same time. Just plug your monitor in the laptop (it should have a plug that matches the monitor's, I believe it should be a blue coloured one). The right click on desktop -> Preferences -> Settings -> Advanced button There u should find the setting to your videocard (menu depends on video card so can't exactly explan to you), but try finding something like display method, os similar and set doulbe display, or display and projector, or similar. Good luck!

It is possible. You just have to get the correct cord for it which you can probably find a most computer/electronic type stores. My boss does this often for our meetings and presenations.

Look on the back of the laptop for your VGA connector. Then look on your laptop keyboard for the "Fn" key and hit either the F3 or F4 key. Depending on your laptop it will mirror the image or make it an extended monitor which you can configure in your video properties window.

Actually it is supper simple you just connect a monitor cord from your laptop to the monitor you can also connect a mouse and keyboard to most laptops. They you just turn it on close the laptop and it acts like your tower. Generally the laptop automatically notices the monitor, keyboard and mouse. You normally don't have to do anything but turn on the computer.

Perfectly possible to connect the monitor to the lap top, but unlikely that you'll be able to use both screens together unless your laptop graphics card supports multiple monitors. If not you can always get a graphics card upgrade but it will cost a bit. If you right click on your desktop and go to settings it should tell you if your current card supports more than one monitor
