How do I get out of Photobucket mobile permanently?

How would some stranger get access to my Photobucket account?

  • some creepy guy has posted a pic of me that he got off my photobucket account, and i don't know HOW he even knew it was mine... what can i do to keep this from happening again, and HOW in the world did he do it??

    More than likely he did it the same way as he did with mine. In response to a jerk who claimed I had pockmarks on my face, I posted a few pics of myself showing my very clear skin (thankyouverymuch lol) from my photobucket album, like this... http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r92/purpleflerple/DSC00199.jpg Now when you click on the link and the pic comes up, go up to your internet browser address window and delete everything up to 'purpleflerple' (my user name) so that the link reads as... http ://s142.photobucket.com/albums /r92/ purpleflerple/ Viola, there's my album, or yours or anyone elses who posts an image from photobucket. The solution? don't post anything from a photobucket account you wouldn't mind sharing with the world.

If you don't have it password protected it just a matter of changing the url of a linked pic a little and voila you have access

He hacked into your computer and got all your passwords, personal files etc and went to work on letting you know what he/she has done! Get a spyware program and run it for keyloggers etc.

Well He could've phished your account...meaning you entered your password and username to a fake photobucket site (it looked like photobucket but really wasn't). He also could've brute forced your account, but I doubt it. After he phished it, he could've looked at the email tied with the account, then found your name through there. There are ways to view private profiles in photobucket, but he couldn't have gotten the email by doing that. I bet he phished.

is your bucket password protected? if not, then it's a public bucket and anyone can look at your whole album he probably right clicked on something you put on myspace or whatever and it gives you the source, from there it's as easy as cutting and pasting that address and you can get their entire bucket... even if it's password protected they can get your pics if they can figure out what extensions your camera uses (pict001 dscn0001 0001_234) best thing (sucks) is to change the filename of every single pic you have..
