What are good ways to get the "Last Second Bid" on eBay successfully?

Why do I always get outbidded on ebay no matter what amount I bid?

• I always seem to get outbidded by a second ebay user no matter what amount I put in. For example I was bidding on a pair of slightly used shoes that were going for $5.00 even. I thought they were cute so I put in an odd maximum bid of $13.36 hoping maybe it will throw off anybody else who tried to outbid me. I remained the high bidder for the next three days and it seemed I was the only person interested in the shoes. Well when the auction ended on the last day I found out that I was outbidded by another user who put in $13.40 for the shoes! How could I be so easily outbidded by four cents in just one bid? Are they using some kind of program that checks your bid amount? I think its completely unfair.

  Here's the trick to win on eBay. You don't bid on what you want until the last few seconds. This will only work if you have high speed Internet service. When it gets down to about 30 or 40 seconds you go into the bidding & put an amount a lot higher than the last bid. Hit the button as late as you can, after awhile you'll get the trick of it with your timing. I have won auction's in as little time as the last 8 seconds !
