If I send all my picutes stored on my computer to the recycle bin will it clear up disk space?

Answer:
Well, first off, sending items to the recycle bin is not enough to free up space. You'll want to empty the recycle bin as well. A few things that may help... try deleting your internet temporary files (if in IE, click Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files). also delete if you have anything in your Windows temp folder (C:\WINDOWS\Temp). These are two common places for unneeded temp files to accumulate and take up space. You can also remove unneeded programs from your control panel, that can actually free up a lot more space quickly. A quick way to get to defrag is open My Computer, right-click on the C:/ drive, click Properties, Tools, and Defragment Now..

Sending the files to the recycle bin will clear some space but if u need all the space u can get and want to totally get rid of the files u must also clean recycle bin or even easier, hold down the shift key while deleting the files.

Yes it will. I just did all this to my computer. Go to start then to programs then to accessories the go to system tools and then click disk clean-up and the do a disk defrag. You can also log on the go tools then internet options and clear your cookies and files this only needs to be done periodically on a personal computer. But you can do a disk defrag every few days.

Depends on how many pictures you have. You should delete all unused programs, and files, cookies. Run a defrag as well. Also go to disk cleanup and it will tell you how much disk space you will gain by deleting. Start, Programs, Accessories, System tools, Disk Cleanup. Defrag is in there too.

Yes, it will create a lot of space, providing you empty your recycle bin. Also defrag your drive, clean out temporary internet files and run Ccleaner to remove any other odds and ends you don't need any more. C Cleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/ This will tell you a lot about what is on your computer, such as running programmes, cookies, History, settings etc. and will help you clean up and remove unwanted items. Be careful how you use it as it is a very powerful programme and you should read the help index before you do anything with it.

Sure. After you delete them check under My Computer, Drive C and look at the free space by right clicking and then Properties. Under the General Tab. Should pop up first.
