WTF is This Crap? Sqlite3.dll? NOTHING Can Eliminate the Issue, NOTHING.?
-
I had a virus on my computer, I was able to dispose of it. When I booted up my laptop afterwords, I had this thing popping up telling me the computer couldn't start up properly due to some "sqlite3.dll" thing missing. It told me to try reinstalling the program and try again. I tried downloading anything that has "sqlite3.dll" in it because I don't use those. One of them was an Apple application that I no longer have any use for. The other, was Limewire.. which, as you all may know, is no longer active. So, I went ahead and deleted that too. So, now, if I search my computer for "sqlite3.dll," there's no results. However, if I restart my computer.. I still get it upon start up, so, how can I fix this issue? I've ran CC Cleaner, that didn't help at all. I still have the issue. I've tried running DLL things to find missing DLL and other system errors, that doesn't help either. I don't know else what to do. What seems to be working for other people isn't working for me, at all.

Answer:
You should check your startup programs for a reference to sqlite3.dll. Probably it is part of the virus you got. You removed the virus but the startup entry is still there - and your computer is now reporting that it can't find it. Run Ccleaner again - but this time look in Tools > Startup - and look for any entries that look like they may be the one. WHilst you are there remove entries for things you don't need to start up to get faster boot times. If it won't show up there then download and run "autoruns" from "sysinternals" and use that to do the same type of startup check. This is made by Microsoft engineers and is free - and highly trusted. It shows you all the things that autostart on your computer.
