How do I put a password on a zip folder?

How to make a password protected folder in windows vista!?

• Ok so theres a folder which has different notepads in it! ive written some passwords of my different accounts on those notepads and i want to password protect the folder.How do i do it? i remember something being a zip folder on which you could put a password but i can't seem to find it. please help!

  Instructions 1 Log in to your computer's administrator account. 2 Right-click the folder that you want to password-protect. 3 Click "Properties" on the drop-down menu, and click the "Security" tab. 4 Click the "Edit" button, and the "Permission" dialog box opens on-screen. 5 Click a user in the "Group or User Names" section. 6 Check all of the boxes in the "Deny" column, and click the "Apply" button. 7 Click "OK," and click "Yes" to agree to the security warning.
