how to move files from internal memory to external sdcard in android?

I cannot move or delete files from my USB memory stick?

  • hi, i have a usb stick, i have lots of files on it. i want to move all the files to my home pc and delete the memory stick as it is not mine. everytime i click delete or move it says "Access denied - make sure the disk is not copright or not in use". the files are not in use, the usb is not coprighted or any problem wotsoever. why does it do this? i cannot format the drive, it simply stops formattin and pc crashes. this happens on all pc's not mine. please help. i do not need data as i have copied my data but need to delete it. Thanks alot in advance

  • Answer:

Some USB sticks (including mine), have a lock switch on them. Check yours; if it does, the stick may effectively be read-only, and that could be your problem. It would be a small switch somewhere on the stick itself.

Many USB drives have a small copy protect feature on them. Look for a small switch on it somewhere and try switching it to the other position. It can be hidden so look hard, take off the plastic sleeve if it has one. This is very similar to the old 3.5" disks and the switch they have. Hopefully that helps.

USB Help

Seems like your USB drive is corrupted or has hardware problems. I guess its time to get a new one.

Run the computer in safe mode and then u may ne able to delete the files, since this may be due to the USB device's autorun feature... An alternative is to use Bart's PE (www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) and create a Live windows xp cd, then i think u may easily be able to delete the files after booting from that....

ur usb mught have hardware problems try to format or unlock it and check out if there are any file modification and copying authntication which disallow ur copying or deleting of files from the usb .

your disk might have a lock button, (a small button) check the disk if you find any button, turn it. If no buttons are found try formatting the disk.
