How do i change my default?

How do I change my default from word starter to regular word?

• So I accidentally downloaded this weird program once. It's a free version of microsoft word, so it has ads and fewer features. So anyway, it became my default for opening documents when I open them from my computer but I also have the normal good version of word that you pay for. So I want to open something from "my computer" and have it open in the good version of word. (It's not that big a deal since i just open the document from inside the good word, but I'm kind of OCD about my computer). Here is what I've already tried: I uninstalled the program. I figured if I just delete the whole thing, the good word would go back to default. But that didn't happen. now when I open something from my computer this error message comes up because word starter is deleted. I also tried going into "change defaults" in control panel but there was no option for word. The only microsoft product in the list was outlook and I never use that. Does anyone have this problem or hopefully a solution? I have windows 7 and on an HP computer btw. wow, that was long.   Open Explorer, go to a DOC or DOCX file, Right click on the file, Click on Open With, from this screen, do you see Word if yes Click on it, if no then choose default program, Explorer opens to your program folder, scroll down to Microsoft Office, click on Office14, click on Winword. Now Word will open, next you click on DOC or DOCX file Word will open.
