My laptop has USB port,need a comport to connect a Hipro box having comport..USB comport cable not working.?

I USE A HIPRO BOX TO PROGRAM HEARING AIDS VIA A PC.THE HIPRO HAS A COMPORT AND DOES NOT WORK WITH USB TO COMPPORT CABLE.IS THERE ANY ALTERNATIVE ADD ON CARD OR SOMETHING TO HELP ME.

I read in a site that u can use a standard serial communication cable. the second site is more helpful. S/he's got same problem. As I see it, u may also use bluetooth.
