How do I get an avatar to work?????

Thing is that I make an avatar, but when I save and come back another time it's not there. Not sure how to get this to work for me. I am confused. :) Thanks to whoever might be helping me.

It doens't show up until today. But sometimes it show sometimes it didn't show.
