How can I change my current IP address to another countries IP address?

  • I live in the United Kingdom and I would like to change my IP address so that when I go onto websites they think I am in the USA. How can I change my ip address to a USA IP address?

    You can't change your actual IP address, but you can run your internet through a proxy server. Here is an example site (there are many more out there): http://www.slyuser.com/ There are two ways of using a proxy service: through a web browser, like the one above, or through another protocol in which you must fill the data in on your computer. Use http://whatismyipaddress.com to check to see where you are "supposed" to be located. This one will show you that you are in Chicago.

Another option is to find a proxy server to use in the united states then your requests will be filtered through them on a US IP Address
