How do you completely remove the "Norton removal tool program" itself?

  • Answer:

you have to stop all norton processes first. the easiest way that I know of is to click start run and type msconfig this brings up the configuratiion window. click on the startup tab and a list of all the user items load when windows start up will be there. Uncheck everything that says Norton or Symantec and anything that doesn't have a name to it. That is anything which shows up blank next tot he check box. click ok and restart your computer. Once windows is fully restarted go to the control panel and click add and remove programs. remove anything that says norton or symantec

Other answers

Click on Control Panel -- Add/remove Programs-- find it in the list and click delete or remove. Sometimes after doing that you may still have some files left over so go to Computer-- program files and delete the folder it is in.
