Where can i find someone by address?

If I have an IP address of someone elses computer, can I find out where that computer is?

  • this person was sending spam to my blog and I found out that his IP address is 210.206.137.53 is there a website or somewhere I can type that in and it will tell me where that person is?

  • Answer:

This is a 'Vandalism' address... Which is one that has been abused and then used to 'attack' other addresses. You need to contact the IP addy OWNER and report this address to them and it wil lbe permanently barred from the Net. It is impossible to trace, as the 'user' has set it up to bounce around the net to prevent traceability... Which is why it needs to be blocked. Type. Trace IP Address and the number into a good search engine and it will direct you to the info you require.....

You can do a tracert to the ip address, but that might only give you a general area. Open up command window. Type => tracert 210.206.137.53

You can try the following sites, but you will only get a general location. In this case, it appears to be South Korea according to Geobytes. http://www.geektools.com/whois.php http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm
