The Pound Sterling Symbol £ on a Computer Keyboards?

I have a logitech keyboard and my £ is the number 3 key.

That depends on the localization you set in your computer and the kind of keyboard you have. There are keyboard with the pound symbol in UK. Which means you could have one if you wanted to.

You will find it on the Character map in Start/All Programs/ Accessories /System Tools and with it open you can insert it whenever you want or put in $ and do a global replace. like this £ the character map will also tell you the code number so that if you hold down Alt and type 0163 on the keypad and release Alt you will get pound sign like this £ Some keyboards come with software to reprogram the keyboard (so $ would always produce £) and some programs allow substitution keys, like Word where you can set auto completion, so you might type #$ and it makes £
