How do you split a video into parts for YouTube?

How do I split a video file into 2 different parts, so that I may attach it to Yahoo email?

  • What I have is a video file that I have compressed into 4 MB using Windows Movie Maker, and then converted to MP4 using Any Video Converter. WMM won't let me compress it any further than 4 MB, but when I convert the compressed file to MP4, AVC evidently expands it to bigger than 10 MB. How do I split the original video file into 2 or more parts to get it down into less than 10 MB pcs & still be MP4? Please keep in mind I'm basically computer illiterate. THanks!!

just split the video in wmm n then export as two different videos

There are a variety of programs that can split files and reattach later. One popular one is called Winrar. Just do a search for winrar and give it a try. Can easily split a file into multiple smaller pieces and also compress files into smaller sizes also.

pack it with winrar you can select each archives file size winrar will then split it for you ready to send each part in it's own file. sending it compressed with winrar will help stop it from becoming corrupted. http://www.rarsoft.com/ when the person at the other end gets all the files they then select them all and unpack to the same directory win rar will then put all the pieces back together again. and present them with a complete original file. ☺
